Cards In Common *Cancelled*
It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we have made the very difficult decision to not go ahead with our upcoming event,Cards In Common.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and it genuinely breaks our hearts to write this message. But it is the right decision. Charlotte is currently the sole support for close family members who have recently become seriously unwell, and the personal weight she is carrying alongside organising our first ever convention and all her other work & family commitments has become too much.
As her husband and business partner, it is my job to step in and help lighten the load, and so I made the difficult decision not to go ahead with the event in May. We are so grateful for all the support the community has shown us and we know many were excited about attending our first ever convention (we certainly were!). All those who purchased tickets have been contacted individually and refunded in full.
We are still very busy with all our playing card projects - creating, printing and selling, and these operations will continue as normal; but organising our first ever convention proved to be a bridge too far on this occasion.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who agreed to help with the event, everyone who purchased a ticket and everyone who was planning on attending - and once again, sorry for the bad news! Nobody was looking forward to this convention more than us ☹
We are hoping we can revisit a convention in Manchester next year - everything was in place for a fantastic day out! If you are interested in receiving updates please sign up to our email newsletter below.
Thanks again,
Alex & Charlotte - A. Haines Playing Cards
