This bundle brings together both parts of the Love & Retribution series - a Victorian narrative playing card collection set in the rolling Lancashire countryside, hand-drawn in its entirety at our studio in Manchester, England.

Every card in both decks has been illustrated by hand. The court cards reimagine the inhabitants of Fairhurst Manor - a fictional 1800s Lancashire estate - as Kings, Queens and Jacks, drawn to reflect the classic posing of the English pattern court card while giving each figure a distinct identity and character all of their own. These are premium collector playing cards that wear their craft openly: no stock artwork, no AI generation, no shortcuts.

Deck 1 features a decorated Ace of Hearts; Deck 2 a decorated Ace of Spades - each a statement piece in its own right. The Jokers go further still: placed side by side, the Jokers from both decks form a diptych - a single illustrated scene from the Love & Retribution story, split across two cards. It is the kind of detail that rewards the collector who looks closely.
